Judy Cross Stitch Chart
|
A Hound called Judy
Judy is a delightful pale dog of mixed parentage. The challenge in converting
this photograph for cross stitch was to make the image of the dog stand out
for stitching. Deepening the colours on the dog helped a lot and I think
Judy's natural charm speaks for itself.

Jade Cross Stitch Chart
|
Jade
Jade lives in Scotland and I think she is one of the prettiest dogs I have
ever seen. Her owner sent lots of lovely photographs and Jade looked
enchanting in all of them - she's a natural film star. I discovered later
that my client had rather rashly promised his daughter 1p a stitch to cross
stitch this design - I hope Jade and I didn't bankrupt him.

Two Lurchers Cross Stitch Chart
|
Two Lurchers
These two lovely Lurchers live in Hampshire. They presented slight difficulty with the photo service design. The photographs were small and the dogs faced opposite ways. Their owner wanted them facing in the same direction. Technology came to the rescue.

Jack Russell Cross Stitch Chart
|
Jack Russell
This smart little Jack Russell did what all dogs do when photographed - stuck
its head towards the camera and made itself all out of proportion. However,
the finished cross stitch chart of its head made a smashing little round
picture which has appeared on many an advertisement

Shih Tzu Cross Stitch Chart
|
Shih Tzu and Boxer
These two dogs were early experiments in creating cross stitch charts by
drawing straight on to the computer. I chose a boxer because we have had four
of them in succession and are hooked on boxers. This is a big picture when
stitched. I chose the shih-tzu because I like their cheeky faces - I had a
work acquaintance who had several and they were all characters.

German Shepherd Dog Cross Stitch Chart
|
German Shepherd Dog
This German Shepherd puppy was so cute that I thoroughly enjoyed turning its
photograph into a cross stitch chart. The difficulty was in making its soft
fur look fluffy - tiny zigzags in the outline went a long way towards
achieving this.

Cairn Terrier Cross Stitch Chart
|
Cairn Terrier
A fussy background rather spoilt the photograph of this charming little Cairn
Terrier. However, a bit of simplification and putting the design into its
round frame did the trick for this cross stitch chart.

Irish Setter Cross Stitch Chart
|
Irish Setter - Russ
In 1999 Best in Show at Crufts was an Irish Setter - but not this one,
although the owner and all Russ's friends think he is very beautiful too. We
couldn't decide which picture to use so in the end the client had both of
them turned into cross stitch charts.

German Pointer Cross Stitch Chart
|
German Pointer
This lovely German Pointer lives in Worcestershire and the photograph was
comparatively easy to turn into a cross stitch chart - the better the
photograph, the easier (and cheaper) the cross stitch chart is to do.

Golden Retriever Cross Stitch Chart
|
Golden Retriever
There's nothing like a game in the snow so long as you are wearing a fur coat
and don't mind getting your feet wet. This lovely golden retriever is ready
for a frolic and we're sure her owner will treasure the cross stitch picture
she (the owner!) has stitched from this chart.
