A cross stitch wedding sampler makes a delightful, personal and unusual wedding present. Any sampler can be personalised and charted in whatever colour is required to suit the theme of the wedding. Box Tree Cottage Designs is also happy to offer designs for extra wedding items such as a ring cushion, place settings or a Prayer Book cover. In addition to the Wedding Sampler I provide a specialist Photo Stitch service for wedding pictures. I can convert a photograph of the happy couple to their own personal cross stitch design, or a photo of any part of the day from the cake to the church.

HOP PILLOW



How many words are there for sleep? Box Tree Cottage's cross stitch hop pillow carries quite a few, as well as the sleep-inducing hops in the border. Make this up into a little pillow and fill it with dried hops and perhaps insomnia will be a thing of the past! Even if it doesn't induce slumber, it's a pretty and unusual cross stitch design for a gift.

They say the scent of dried hops helps you to sleep. Even if they don't, the sleepy words on this cross stitch hop pillow might induce slumber by the power of suggestion! Cross stitched on 14 count aida, this pillow works out at about 14" by 12". Don't forget that a piece of cross stitch work can be washed - the stranded cotton will not run at normal temperatures, although it might be tempting providence to boil it! So cuddle up to your cross stitch pillow with hops within and hops in the design, and sleep well.

Here are two Tulip Designs for cushion covers. Tulips always a colourful harbinger of the May Flowers. These cross stitch covers will help remind you during the dark winter months that Spring will come again.

I designed them in a variety of colours to match any scheme. They were originally designed to be stitched on Binca or some other large-scale cross stitch fabric and used as cushions in a conservatory. However, they work just as well in brilliantly coloured wools as a needlepoint (tapestry) design and could also be adapted for long stitch. It would be nice to adjust the colours to match a client's own curtain or furnishing material - any takers?

These are available as both cross stitch and tapestry charts. They can be provided in different colourways.
